The mission of the “Or A Zion” is to develop and enhance the Jewish identity among the Russian speaking Jewish community of Brooklyn. The program was established in 2003 . Today we grew to a real “Kehilah” with intensive community life. Thousand of Russian speaking Jews are associated with our community. We became an address for any need in Jewish way of life.

We want to build a Synagogue that will be a home to any Jew with no dependence on the level of his/her Jewish education. ”Or A Zion” will provide an opportunity to every Russian-speaking Jew to explore his/her Jewish personality by giving a variety of educational programs and pleasure activities.
